When the Craft in America Center partnered with the Sam Maloof Foundation to create a two-part exhibition that celebrates the master craft artists in California, one idea was clear: it should pay homage to Eudora M. Moore's famous California Design exhibitions.
I walked into this project as a secondary designer, having been given a logo, font, and imagery for the primary exhibition, California Handmade. Through collaboration with Craft in America directors, we designed an identity for the two-part exhibition centered on the multi-surface dome meant to symbolize the California sun. Flyers, internet and print ads, as well as social media images, were designed to announce the opening days.
I also designed an exhibition catalog for the first part of the show held at the Maloof Foundation. I worked with a hired photographer, museum diirectors, and printers to organize and design this publication.
